Soothing Menopause

Truth is most women will suffer symptoms of menopause. But there is some organic help for menopause

Menopause is the process of a woman's body transitioning from being ready for child bearing to going into a point of no longer needing to be ready to rear children.

So, every woman is different and after much asking and reading the comment that I get is ...

It is best to see a nutritionist or herbologist, if you want a natural way to deal with the symptoms of menopause.  The treatment prescribed needs to coincide with your hormone levels and the only way to know that is to get a test.

I have heard great things about the PMS Treatment Clinic in Arcadia, California

I know it says PMS but they also treat Menopause and other things too click below to see their website

But if you are not ready for that and you just have light symptoms here are some "remedies" you can try.

First is one that I know worked for me, I was having night sweats. I was directed to these 2 teas below:

Again, I know these may say PMS or deal with a cycle but it is the herbs in them that are good for the symptoms of menopause.  I alternate them monthly.

And then I mix this tea with them

This tea is again for the herbs in it, but this tea tastes really good! I found that I actually enjoy this one and can drink it by itself but it is a combo of the 2 teas together that works and I mean they work, I have not had night sweats since I started drinking these.

There is one more tea that is recommend for moderate to severe symptoms but I haven't used this one because like I said before I only had light symptoms and that is this one below:

Pay close attention, if you get this one, because there are a couple raspberry teas but you want the one that says woman's raspberry leaf .  I haven't tried this one but it was highly recommended.

I have read some really good things about that raspberry leaf tea so give it try if you are having moderate to severe symptoms.

I was a big coffee drinker and it was a little hard for me to switch because all of these teas are non caffeinated.  And I live off caffeine so to replace a caffeinated drink with one with no caffeine was hard.  I mean you don't have to stop drinking coffee but between coffee and all the water and juice I drink, to add another 16 ounces of fluid I was worried I was going to be in the bathroom like half the day lol, but that didn't happen, thank God.

So yeah, I boil about 2 cups of water, I usually put a little more because you know water evaporates when you boil it.  And then I put in the 2 tea bags, you know 1 of each, and I let that sit for 5 minutes.  I add some sugar, or honey whichever you like.  And it may take some getting used to, but I think it is worth it.

NOW OTHER THINGS YOU CAN DO

I have heard really good things about this cream you buy from Daystar.com http://shop.daystar.com/
but I haven't tried it personally, I don't think I need it yet.

Then find a really good health store and go there.  There used to be one on Centinella in Los Angeles but I can't remember the name of the store or the cross street.  But ask around if anyone knows of an old nutrition, health store it was owned by and elderly black man but again the name escapes me, I used to go there before they opened Whole Foods in Pasadena.

Black Cohosh and Wild Yam are said to be good but I don't know how you would take/use them but a person at a health food store might.

DO NOT EAT OR DRINK SOY!!!
I know it is all over the place, and your own doctor may have told you to drink/eat more soy but most if not all soy in America is GMO soy and does more harm than good to our bodies.

Drink some tart cherry juice, not just cherry juice but tart cherry juice.  Or, if you can find the extract or a concentrated form of it get that and take 2 teaspoons of that daily.  the tart juice is pricey but you just need to drink about 6 ounces if it is pure and organic. I get mine at WholeFoods I get their brand and it helps too.

okay that is all I could find, and I am only recommended things to you that I do or will do when I get to the point where I need to.

The easiest place to start is with the teas and the tart cherry juice.

I hope that helps you, if you have any questions call me.

Tish.
